Miss Margaret Hurley

Margaret Hurley, 25, was maid to Charles and Mabel Learoyd, from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Margaret traveled on a separate ticket, 13063, and stayed in cabin B-82 while the Learoyds stayed on D deck. Margaret survived the Lusitania sinking.

Prior to the Lusitania, Margaret and the Learoyds had arrived in North America via the ship Niagara, which docked in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on 10 April 1915.

  1. I am trying to trace two sisters Margaret & Minnie (? Mary) Hurley both Nurses (Irish) who were on this ship. I first thought they survived the Titanic but are not listed (except “& Nurse) They were my father’s sisters and are now dead having lived into their 90s.

  2. Hi, I am Mike Sebbage, my mother was Mary Hurley, niece of Minnie & Maggie. I too am trying to find out more about the Hurley family. I have very fond memories of Minnie & Maggie. I know Maggie died in Kew, South London at a nursing home but unsure as to the date. Kind regards
