Mr. Edmond Ireton

Edmond Ireton, 36, was a third class passenger lost in the Lusitania sinking. He was from County Clare, Ireland, but as of spring 1915 had an address in New York. Ireton was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall (180 cm) with a fair moustache and brown eyes. He was initially reported among the saved but was actually among the lost. His brother Henry was seeking information about Edmond as of 15 May 1915. Henry lived in Leasana, Quin, County Clare, Ireland.

  1. Edmund Ireton was my great-uncle. His body was never found. I wrote an article about him in 2015 which was published on 8 May in the Clare Champion newspaper.
