Miss Margaret Tuohy

Margaret Tuohy, 25, was a British citizen who survived the Lusitania sinking and was treated at the hospital in Queenstown.  She was pronounced fit to be discharged by Monday, 10 May 1915. Margaret Touhy had been working in the United States as a nanny.  She was in a life boat which then capsized, and she was apparently  pulled from the water by a soldier. She never wanted to talk about her experience.  She married a man by the name of Mulhern and had five children. Contributors: Judith Tavares Josie Wright (granddaughter of Margaret Tuohy)
