Mr. Ferdinand Limberg, Confectioner

Ferdinand Limberg, 33, was born in Delft, the Netherlands. He was 1 of 14 siblings. The last voyage of the Lusitania in May 1915 was supposed to be Lemberg’s last before leaving the sea and opening a confectioner’s shop in Liverpool, England, with his wife. Unfortunately, Lemberg did not survive the sinking of the Lusitania. Sadly, his wife died not many years later.

Apparently, his Seaman’s Card was destroyed some years later when records were being reshuffled, so his descendants have not been able to locate a picture of him.

  1. May I be allowed to make 2 small corrections to this bio, first the name was “LIMBURG”. second his age was “33”.
I would also like to add that I find his wife [my G Mother] was coincedently buried in Anfield Cemetary not a 5 minute walk from a memorial to the “LUCY”.
