He was married to Irma Florine Rothschild of New York City. George and Irma had been visiting Irma’s sister, Mrs. Alfred S. Austrian of Chicago before booking passage on the Lusitania to return to London. They both survived. Contributors Judith Tavares Catherine Crompton (1905 ? – 1915), 10, was the younger daughter of Paul and Gladys Crompton. The family was returning home to England after living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
