As of 1915 she was residing in New York, New York, United States with her husband, whom she met in the States. Catherine survived the Lusitania disaster and was rescued by the Westborough, [...]  Patrick Hanley was an Irish national and British subject from Mountshannon, Lisnagry, County Limerick, Ireland. He was among the saved from the Lusitania sinking of 7 May 1915. Hanley’s account to the Limerick Leader stated that at 2:10 on the afternoon of the sinking, when the ship was in sight of Ireland, he saw [...] Joseph Glancy (1872 – 1949), 43, was an Irish national and British subject from Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland living in 12 Camden Street, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland. He was returning to Ireland aboard Lusitania from Canada, where he had worked at Eaton’s department store in Toronto, Ontario. Glancy was saved from the Lusitania sinking [...] Ellen Candlish, 30, was a United States citizen living in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States. She and her husband, Arthur, traveled aboard the last voyage of the Lusitania. Arthur was lost. Ellen was saved. Ellen suffered exposure and injury to her leg, by reason of which she was unable to walk for six weeks. [...] |
