Michael Ward, a naturalized United States citizen, was a native of Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland. He lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. He assisted Margaret and Desmond Cox to a lifeboat on the port side of the ship, but because the lifeboats on the port side were not being lowered, Margaret and Desmond went to the starboard side. Ward was lost in the Lusitania sinking.
