George Gordon, a British citizen from Calgary, Alberta, Canada survived the Lusitania sinking and was treated at the hospital for broken ribs.

George was my great Uncle, although he had worked for a relatively short while in Canada he was from Newcastle upon Tyne which is where he lived for most of , and to the end of, his life
