  1. Hi there,

I wonder if you could help me. I am looking to research my family tree and understand from family records that my great grandfather was a musician on the Lusitania. I have nothing in writing but I do know he was not working on the Lusitania on its final voyage. Is there any way I could check whether this fact is true to begin my voyage of understanding my family history. kind regards.
your suggestions and advice would be appreciated.

  2. Hey there, I was just wondering if there was any other band members? My Granda told me that his father was a violinist on a Cunard ship and I was convinced it was this one.
    His name was Robert Bell.
Any information on where I can find out what ship or anything along those lines would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance x

  3. Thomas Handel Hawkins was born in Oldham in1887 with many siblings. He lived on Frederick Street and I used to collect waste paper each month for our local Church during the late 1970s.sometimes my daughters would help me.and Mr Hawkins would talk to them about sport. The girls were into competitive swimming and he said that is the best thing you can do because it saved my life and gave us a postcard showing the Lusitania and said I lost a damned good cello when it sank and I was in the water a long time. He married in 1920 and had 2 daughters he died in 1983 aged 95.
