The Prichard Letters

A new section is going up on the site, The Prichard Letters.  More letters will be added to the website as they are transcribed.

Second cabin passenger Richard Preston Prichard was lost in the Lusitania disaster. Richard’s brother Mostyn went to to Queenstown to look for his body but did not find his body. Subsequently, his mother Gertrude tracked down every survivor, relatives of those on board, and Cunard Company staff she could and wrote them in hopes that they would be able to tell her what happened to Richard in the ship’s final moments.

These letters have kindly been made available through the Imperial War Museum. To obtain your own copy, please contact Tony Richards at <docs@iwm.org.uk>
