February 28, 1917

Mr. G. Mostyn Prichard,
7 Brokenhurst [sic] Road,
Ramsgate, Kent, England.

Dear Sir:-

I am the administrator of the Estate of William Mustoe Kinch, one of the victims of the Lusitania massacre, and I have been making inquiries, among the survivors, to get some evidence, if possible, as to the manner in which Mr. Kinch lost his life, the question of survivor-ship, as between him and his mother, being in litigation here. I am informed that you were making a similar inquiry in reference to your brother, the late Mr. Richard Preston Prichard.

Mr. Kinch and your brother occupied the same State Room, D-90, along with two other gentlemen, only one of the four of whom survived. This survivor, whose name and address is Mr. Arthur Gadsden of 7 Granville Street, Leamington Spa, England, I have written to several times, but I have been unable to get any reply from him. I am writing you to ask whether you have communicated with this gentleman and whether you have been able to get any information from him, and also with the idea that in conducting our seperate [sic] inquiries one of us might run across some information that would be useful to the other. I have been unable to get the exact addresses of a considerable number of the survivors, although eventually I expect to get in touch with the most of them.

Hoping that you have been successful in getting information that you desire, I am,

Very truly yours,
Wm H Chapman
